Victoria Engel continues to set trends in the electronic scene. Her record label, 444 SERIES, is growing, with global support. In addition, her legendary performances at Underclub, Crobar and the Obras Stadium (Buenos Aires), Rock In Rio (Rio de Janeiro), Warung (Itajai, Brazil), EDC Festival (Mexico City) and Bar Americas (Guadalajara) place her a step up in the South American techno movement. Raised in a family of visual artists, Victoria Engel flirted with electronic music from a very young age. From the beginning, she was influenced by industrial, experimental, and alternative sounds. Such as post-punk, new wave, EBM, and ambient techno. This musical background served as inspiration for her to step onto the floors of Argentine nightclubs for the first time, where Victoria found her definitive vocation in 2008. “In that year, I began to become interested in the world of mixing. I worked in a huge club in Buenos Aires and I was hypnotized, watching how the DJ mixed the music and carried the night forward,” says Victoria, who almost in parallel would work as a vocalist in a band that would later lead her to study musical production and find your definitive vocation.
Adding inspiration, work, and long days of study, Engel created an addictive cocktail of Techno, Minimal and Electro, styles that ended up being the trademark of her sets. Today, Victoria Engel has established herself as one of the greatest exponents of the Latin electronic scene. Her feedback with the audience, the power of her tracks and her intelligence to “read” the temperature of the track, make her sets irresistible and celebrated from start to finish in various parts of the planet. that she visited. Precisely, in 2013, shortly after taking her first steps in Buenos Aires, Victoria moved to Europe, a continent that saw her exploit the slopes in several cities, especially Berlin, the German capital that ended up decisively marking her style for making danceable beats. With her last name touring the European electronic scene, in 2017, she published her first EP, “Cortes Amarillos”, which was released on 12” vinyl by RA + RE Records, the label of Parisian origin that is a thermometer of the Gallic dance.
After seeing her name shine on the European dance marquee, Victoria returned to Buenos Aires. She showed off her lineage on the track at Crobar Club and Mandarine Park, toured the main squares of the Argentine interior, and went on tour through South America. At the dawn of 2021, Engel left for Mexico, where she lived for a year and achieved a great connection with the people of that country, as she danced to her tracks on dance floors in Guadalajara, Tulúm and the Federal District. Also, her agenda included getaways to raise the temperature of clubs in Uruguay (Key de Montevideo, for example) and the most prominent ones in Chile. In 2022, she returned to Argentina and continued to gain followers at the most prestigious parties. Her 7-hour sets at the legendary Underclub and Crobar meant very high points, artistically and energetically. That same season, Victoria marked another milestone by performing at the Rock In Río Festival, in addition to being chosen as a jury for the Emergente Festival organized by the government of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires. That year, she culminated it by launching her label, which she named 444 SERIES and with which she published her latest EP, “Fluctuating Consciousness”, with three original tracks. In addition to various performances, she formally began 2023 with a memorable performance at EDC México, a highly popular festival within the Aztec dance scene. That same season, Victoria culminated it by playing at the legendary Obras Stadium in front of a crowd. Currently, she is working on her new album.
